PulPac announced significant progress in its dry pulp molding technology in Japan

PulPac announced significant progress in its dry pulp molding technology in Japan: Japan Molding (a leading egg tray producer) has completed the on-site acceptance test (SAT) for PulPac’s Modula machine and is expanding its dry-molded fiber product portfolio to address growing demand for circular packaging. Takahiro Ishihara, General Manager of Japan Molding, expressed excitement about the achievement, stating it will accelerate the application of food trays and support the transition to a green economy.

TechTribe reported further advancements in the global rollout of Modula machines, with on-site acceptance tests (SATs) progressing worldwide and Swedish products already commercialized.

Though Japan boasts a high recycling rate, it faces challenges such as large per capita plastic waste volumes and growing concerns over marine litter. Dry-molded fiber offers a viable alternative, and Japan Molding is poised to lead the industry’s shift toward resource-efficient packaging solutions.
